Work

Enjoy my collection of songs that I enjoy the most. Including classic jazz standards such as Ella Fitzgerald and Lena Horne, but also spanning to modern styles from Diana Krall to Nora Jones. I'm constantly working songs in the studio and will continue to post material over time.

About

Singing has been a lifelong passion and pursuit. Aside from being a wife, mother, student, and all around modern lifeform, I'm grateful that I developed my singing at an early age. It has offered me the ability to continue singing through a number of life events that tend to get in the way, but enable me to develop at a pace that works for me and those around me.

I started singing seriously in high school and I fell in love with the music that I could make and the way it made me feel. Going to musical theatre has always been one of my favorite things to do in the world, first with my mother, then taking my daughter. I recall watching the old black and white musicals and have a deep appreciation for the music of the time. Ella Fitzgerald, singing “A Tisket, A Tasket” in an Abbott and Costello movie, the beautiful Lena Horne in Stormy Weather and when Frank Sinatra sang Lady is a Tramp in Pal Joey, I knew I wanted to be a part of this music.

To the credit of my wonderful husband, established keyboardist and studio musician Tom Buckley, re-kindling my musical and singing embers was a matter of time and patience. Of which I can be thankful of the results and opportunities ahead. It was through various studio recordings that we realized what a remarkable life one can achieve by simply dreaming, then doing. Much as I did when I was a teen-ager.

Now, with overflowing support, hard work, and a few good microphones, we'll see where this journey takes me.
